Waterfront Renovation

This project included a comprehensive landscape renovation based on a custom landscape rendering and design plan. Work included removal of existing vegetation and unwanted volunteer growth, cleaning roots and debris from planting beds, trimming and shaping existing shrubs, cutting back dead or dormant plant material, and thoroughly cleaning and redefining the existing landscape beds. Bed edges were re-established and carved to create a clean, defined appearance, followed by installation of a topsoil blend as needed to improve planting areas and finished grade. New plant material was installed according to the landscape design and layout. For the flagstone areas, the base was prepared, installed, graded, and mechanically compacted to provide a stable foundation. Flagstone was then installed with mortar to create a durable, finished hardscape feature within the rear landscape beds. Drainage improvements were also incorporated into the project to address roof runoff from the home, which does not have gutters. An open French drain was installed along the rear of the planting area to collect and redirect water away from the landscape and discharge it safely toward the side of the property. Irrigation work was also completed to provide proper watering coverage for the newly installed plant material and centipede sod, helping support establishment and long-term landscape health. Existing vegetation was removed from designated lawn areas, followed by grading and preparation of the soil surface for new turf. Centipede sod was then installed to complete the lawn renovation. The completed project combined landscape design, planting, bed renovation, irrigation, drainage improvements, hardscape installation, grading, and new sod to create a cohesive, functional, and finished landscape.
